Misjudged paragraph

Misjudged
Some of my friend‘s parents misjudge me. Just because I go to Yampah Mountain High School, they automatically think I'm a bad kid and smoke weed everyday. First of all, they make it very obvious but aren't doing it on purpose. They observe mostly everything I do if I'm in another room. Next, they tell their kids they don't want them hanging out with me or they don't want their kids coming to my house. They will also imply I need more academic help. When they are finished talking they say, “Do you understand?” or “Did you get all that?” Implying I should go home when there kid needs to do school work and I say “ I'll help.” So being misjudged is not a fun experience, for me at least.

My College Experience
ENG 060
First Semester
My college experience is great. First, I am doing better than I expected too. Which was odd because I had set my goals reasonably high in the beginning of the semester. I understand the material my professors teach; however, some of the topics and details take some time for my brain to absorb. Also, my test and quiz scores are coming out well; however I have some trouble with the homework. Another reason why my experience is going well is because it's proven to be valuable to me. I know many kids drop out of college as quick as a bullet, but with this experience I will be more prepared and primed for whats going to hit me at a university. Additionally, I am meeting a lot of students and few of them I have gotten fairly close with. Third, this college experience is outstanding for me educationally. Since I'm in high school, I'm getting dual credit which is both college and high school credit. Nothing like hitting 2 birds with one stone. The information I've been learning has popped up outside the class room; therefore, the information that transferred into knowledge is very useful to me. I enjoy having a intellectual conversation with others. In conclusion, my college experience so far has been extraordinary, because CMC is preparing me for a university, and I am getting real educational confidence boost, from me doing well on the tests and easily absorbing the information.

Family tradition

Family Tradition
My favorite tradition is when my Dad and I would blast away tons of fireworks on the 4th of July. I loved this tradition because it gave my father and I bonding time. We would drive 12 hours through 6 different states all the way to South Carolina from New Jersey, that was a long conversation. Also, the day of the 4th we would set them off together as a team, simultaneously lighting huge mortars, laughing about it but be serious enough to be “safe”. Second, I love pleasing the crown and giving the people a good show, along with my Dad. We shot the fireworks off a dock at our summer house on a small lake in the Adirondacks. When I set off anything, I look out into the darkness and it exploeds in the sky, then I see a whole bunch of lit faces with smiles from cheek to cheek on boats and kayaks, when I see that I light up. After the long night raw thumbs, burnt hands and fingers my Dad and I still have smiles on for days.

Hard Decision

Hard decision
One of the hardest decisions I made was whether I should move to here (Colorado) or not. At first, I didn't want to move here at all, and my decision was 95% no. All my friends were in New Jersey, all the familiar streets, buildings, and oh the beach! I though New Jersey was fun and lively; however, my mother thought otherwise. ; Also, I had a girlfriend there. I thought she was great, but I don't know what I was on, because in reality, she was a bitch, ; it’s amazing what lust will do. Then I started seeing all the good that could come from moving. I visited the summer before we moved here, I saw all of Colorado's beauty, and what was being offered, and I was impressed. Another reason I decided to move here, was all the experiences I would be exposed to. I started a new foundation with living and friends. I could never forget the drive out here; it was 36 hours of hell, yet we made the best of it. In the end, I wound up loving it.

ऀWhen I was 4, just a wee young lad, I was hit by a car. This event changed my life because after I had gotten better I couldn’t trust people as much, after that I had to do everything my self. I was a different child after that. I had scrapped my knee or something but my sister Taylor brought me in side a was trying to fix me up. She was about to but hydrogen peroxide on it and I freaked out, I honestly don’t know why I flipped out but I did and she stormed off.
ऀSo here is how it went down. I can only remember so much, my sisters were running something over across the street to our neighbors house. Well I wanted to go so I went. They had all ready crossed the street, I wasn’t far behind them just on the other side of the road. I wait one the other side of the road which is hard to do when you’re an excited 4 year old. Waiting for my sister’s approval I observed the weather, it was a warm sunny day, a bit humid and a little windy. Other than that it was a beautiful day. I felt my forehead get tired and sore, from squinting so hard trying to keep the sun out of my eyes. Then I burned my eyes on her, she signaled okay cross in a wave, as if she was saying come here. I looked both ways to seal the deal just like I was taught.
ऀI started walking across. I could feel the heat from the road through the souls it my shoes. Our road has a connecting street to it making it like a sideways y, We are a house or two away from my the joint of the y. The last thing I remember was a photo of my sisters happy faces go blank and scared. I’m not sure if my hearing went out or my sister scream went silent. I the far far corner of my eye I saw something. The car was as fast as a bullet. Boom! It hit me. I don’t remember anything after that.
ऀI was is the hospital for a while. I have dislocated my hips and got a few stitches in my head. I find myself lucky. It could have been way worse. The next clear memory I have is when my sister and I were on a old swing. The ones with the wood as a butt holder. My sister Taylor and I would spin and see if we could walk a strait line. The thing was since I dislocated my hips I could walk strait in general. She felt the need to point this out before I started walking. “ Ok try and walk strait oh wait you already can’t haha”. It wasn’t funny to me. One good benefit I got out of this is that we went to the chiropractor twice a week, it feels so good getting your body put into the right place.

The Penguin Suit
The object that has a lot of value to me is my father‘s tux because it was once his, then handed down to me when he pasted (passed). The suit also fits me well and smells like him. Another reason I like the tuxedo; is that I like to “dress to impress.”Any chance I get to dress up I will; however, I would like to buy some bow ties and a vest, so I can have more variety. If I was more wealthy, I would dress formally every day, but never let my dad's tuxedo get lost in my closet; although how could I, it shines brighter than the sun to me. When I was young, I wanted to be just like my dad. Heck, I still do.

A Day of Snow
This past winter we didn't have much snow, but when we did, I was shoveling it. When I was just about done with my driveway, I noticed our neighbors to my right didn't shovel their driveway or walkway.I thought about the time I just put into my driveway; similarly, I was in pain. My forehead was sore from squinting so hard because of the big old sun;also, my back was not feeling too randy either. I thought about the benefits of shoveling their driveway. I like to do good for people, the lady that lives there is old, and it builds character. I marched over there and started to shovel, shoveling soon became fun; therefore, time flew by as quick as a bullet. Next thing I knew, I was done and walking home. I was worn out and tired; however, you couldn't wipe that smile off my face. I like to think what goes around comes around, but yet I never expected a reward. When I was young, my mom always sent us to do little tasks for our neighbor; therefore, I learned to do good deeds when I was little and it stuck. In conclusion doing good deeds build character and feels good, so take that small step.

Indian Food
My cross culture experience was when one of our family friends (Cappellies) had a foreign exchange student from India stay with them for six months. The Cappellies invited our family over for an Indian dinner, that the exchange student Rishuta cooked. It was a traditional Indian dinner alright; likewise, there was a lot of curry dishes. The food was good, yet it was very different to what I'm used to. The polite ways of the Indians were odd to me. I had a great deal of trouble because we were supposed to eat with one hand. The non-eating hand was for cleaning yourself so it’s considered dirty. Also, we had to sit on the floor on little pillows. After dinner, Rishuta turned on some Indian music and put on her traditional gown. We all watched her dance, then most of us got up and tried to learn the dance. As one of my first cultured experiences, I had a blast eating Indian food and dancing.

Sub Advertising
One ring to rule them all, one brand to find them. The connotation in this picture is that Coka-Cola will be the ruler of all other soda. Although coca-cola advertising through lord of the rings is a crazy concept, it is a unique way to speak to a different crowd. Coca-cola is obviously trying to broaden their range of consumers to the audience that watches Lord of the Rings. It makes people curious as to how coca-cola is connected with this particular movie. It is astounding how corporations can be so extreme when advertising their products. But props to them for being creative and diverse.
